the last days of the past war (1945-1991)
This is a kind of reconstruction of the past based on someone's old negatves which were presented me as a gift. The pictures were taken by a member of the service family in the very last days of the WWII somewhere in China. My interpretation was to the following acts: I have selected certain pictures and made a kind of sequences from them. Besides that I have used hand toning processes due to express my personal sentiments towards these silent set-ups on someone's pictures. These series of pictures exist in different variants (hand toning process is unrepeatable!), there is a version made in 1991. The first variant was made about 1987 when endemic interpretation of anonymous negatives began all around the whole USSR. For me it was just a single experiment. After these series of pictures I never returned to that most-modern practice.
